Crane Lake, Minnesota is where the country's highways
literally end, and it's pristine wilderness waterways begin.
An area so vast, so unspoiled that it has been designated
a permanent remembrance of America and the way it appeared
centuries ago to the Indians and fur traders.
Glaciers sculpted masterpiece after
masterpiece in the chain of lakes in the area. Crane
Lake is just the beginning!
The
area is abundant with white and pink granite with large
veins of white quartz running through. Evergreens meet
crystal blue waters and the sunrises and sunsets present
photographic backdrops. From breathtaking overlooks
at Vermilion Gorge, Vermilion Falls and Grassy Bay
Cliffs you can see some of the oldest geological formations
in the nation.
As you can tell from these photos,
the fishing isn't bad, either! |
