| Nathan
developed a passion for the great outdoors at a very
young age. He spent most of his childhood fishing and
hunting with his father Kerry. As he grew, his love
for fishing grew as well. He began tying flies, making
jigs, and anything he could to sharpen his fishing
knowledge and skills. |

In 2001, he began the art
of building fishing rods as a hobby. Often times,
making rods for a fishing trip or weekend at the
cabin. Nate’s enjoyment for rod building
grew and he started making rods for friends, family,
and fishing buddies. |

| Later he began building
rods during the summers, throughout college, and any
spare moment while not on the water fishing himself. |
Nate has sold
hundreds of rods throughout the U.S. Designing
a custom fishing rod from scratch, he uses his knowledge
in fishing to develop hand built fishing rods, designed to
fit the specific needs of any angler. Each of Nathan's
rods are one of a kind, having custom designed handles, reel
seats, decorative wraps, hook keepers, and other high quality
components that develop a finished product that will appeal
to any fisherperson no matter their skill level.
In addition to his fishing rods,
Nate also fishes competively in tournaments, guides, and
fishes all over the U.S. each year. He
has also appeared on a nationally televised fishing show
at the age of 13. He often spends as much time as possible
fishing and hunting with father, Kerry, in their expeditions
of which are captured here on MayerOutdoors.com |
